Iceland... Land of fire! Call for corporate patronage

The students of the University of Rennes 1 need you!
Volcanic sand plain in southern Iceland

After having visited the Auvergne Volcanoes (August 2020, and August 2021) and Vesuvius and the Phlegrean Fields (Italy, June 2021), where more than 80 students took advantage of the joys of geology, we set up a field trip in Iceland (June 2022). So we decided to solicit companies for a patronage (something for which they can deduct from their taxes 60% of the amount paid).

Geology is the study of the Earth. Iceland is one of the most beautiful fields of application. Bordering lithospheric plates, volcanic eruptions, ancestral glaciers, the island offers naturalistic observation. Geothermal, CO2 storage, perlites, the island lends itself to current challenges. A group of 22 Earth Sciences students will travel to Iceland from 1 to 10 June 2022. Ten days of discovery of Icelandic geology.

So it remains to finance the project!

Individual or company, are you sensitive to the idea? Would you like to sponsor the initiative? You want the young people to grow up and discover the world? Contact philippe [dot] boulvaisatuniv-rennes1 [dot] fr () , travel guide, to give your support, financial or otherwise!

NB: This sponsorship is not in competition with the Apprenticeship Tax, which is mandatory for businesses, and which helps our students to train as part of their curriculum. The "Iceland" project is out of the curriculum.
